affords cross-collaboration. We are currently seeking a Mid-level Network
Engineer to support our DoD customer. The Mid-level Network Engineer will
support the continued incremental modernization of systems. Modernization will
achieve a web-based user-facing capability and a server based back end that is
capable of operating in a cloud-hosted environment and also supports a
configuration which can be deployed as a local node by cognizant local staff
to support operations under DDIL conditions.
##### **Key Responsibilities:**
* Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the engineering, application, and development of multiple operating systems.
* Analyzes computer software and hardware requirements to provide integration and implementation support through the design and development of new systems at a highly technical level.
* Ensures that systems are functioning according to design specifications. Analyzes and documents users’ functional and data requirements.
* Conducts functional user interviews to document functional, system, customization, and data requirements and data sources.
* Determines data requirements for internal processes and external interfaces.
* Maps existing data structures and migrates legacy data to the new or tailored systems.
* Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meets documented user requirements.
* Provides technical support and diagnoses and resolves system problems.
##### **Required Skills:**
* Active SECRET clearance
* 3-7 years of relevant IT/infrastructure operations support experience
* 3-7 years of experience with network routing and switching technologies and protocols
* 3-7 years of experience using scripting and programming tools such as Python, Ansible, etc.
* Ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments
* Ability to operate with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems
* Ability to perform work that requires practical experience and training
* Ability to work well in a team setting
##### **Preferred Skills:**
* Prior experience supporting DoD Command and Control Systems
* Experience with Cisco firewalls, load balancers, Checkpoint,
* Network Operations
* Bachelor degree or higher in IT, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical area
* Excellent oral and written communication
