### Overview

We are looking for a world class marketer to lead growth at Satlantis. Someone
with experience bringing novel products to niche markets by leveraging
content, social, email and partnerships (corporate and individual creators).

### Who are we?

Satlantis is the world’s first “Nomad and Community Social Network.” Imagine
Instagram meets TripAdvisor meets Google Places. It’s a travel directory,
social network and merchant map, all in one.

We are funded, and have a team of 10 people across product, data, Nostr, ops
and engineering. We are all hands on product development right now and are
looking to bring the product to market in a deliberately staged approach later
this year (and beyond).

If you’re someone who can wear the many hats required to bring a novel product
to market, we’d love to hear from you.

### The Role

_This role is a full time, executive role with a healthy salary and equity on
offer._

You will be responsible for taking our product to market and ensuring it
reaches the right people. You will develop and execute a comprehensive
strategy to drive user acquisition, and hype in the market about Satlantis.
You will work closely with the CEO and head of product, while leading a small
growth department.

This is a REMOTE role and will require you to be self-motivated, hungry for
progress, innovative and extremely diligent in order to keep up with what we
want to achieve.

You will also have the opportunity to lead a number of inter-related
initiatives, including Satlantis TV (MTV for Nomads), our Network State /
Nomad Newsletter and the Nomad Summit (IRL conference).

### Responsibilities

**Develop and execute the marketing and growth strategy**

* Establish and execute a growth plan aligned with the company's vision and goals.
* Get very clear on who our initial users are, and learn to communicate with them
* Ensure the strategy evolves as we expand the users we want to appeal to

**Carve out our OWN category**

* We are here not to ‘compete’ in someone else’s category, but to ‘create’ our own
* This will require a very compelling narrative and content/comms plan
* It also means getting very CLEAR on our positioning in the minds of the market. Where do we live in people’s heads, at each step of our evolution?

**Leadership**

* You’ll be in charge of a small growth team, including community managers and content creators / technicians.
* You will need to lead and mentor them, and ensure their efforts are being directed toward our goals. This means coordination and leadership!

**Data**

* You need to track and measure our initiatives, and double down on what’s working without getting lost in the minutia. Data is important, but so is intuition.

**Partnerships**

* You will be in charge of building out our creator network. This means recruiting and working with content creators and influencers with audiences that we want to engage.
* There are also companies with user-bases and email lists that would be ideal for us to partner with. These relationships need to be built and campaigns activated.

**Social and content**

* We’re a social network. Alongside partnerships with content creators, we must be developing our own content.
* You must architect the narrative and build a team to create, produce and distribute the content across all relevant social channels (relevant defined by our strategy).

### Requirements

**Must Have**

* At least 5 years experience working in a similar role: on a consumer app
* Proven experience growing a brand on Social
* Native english speaker
* Prior experience with email marketing (software & campaign execution)
* Prior copywriting experience (I’d love to see a blog or newsletter you’ve written/built)
* Excellent communication skills, You MUST be able to tell a compelling story!
* Leadership (we’re not looking for a manager, but a leader who can inspire)

**Nice-to-have Qualifications**

* Prior experience as a Graphic or UI / UX Designer
* Interest or prior experience writing about Nomading/Network State or similar topics
* Prior experience with sourcing and growing email lists
* Experience working inside a fast-paced software team, building consumer applications
* This is a remote role, and our preference is that you’re either in Australia or Canada.
