### Job Description
We are looking for a Junior Contract Software Engineer to assist in developing
and maintaining our web and mobile platform. You will work closely with our
CTO to deliver new features and optimize existing ones. This is a 1-month
contract position with the opportunity to convert to a longer term contract at
expiration. We're hiring ASAP and will be conducting interviews through July
5th with the intention of onboarding July 8th.
### Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain the SABO web and mobile platforms.
* Pair program with the CTO and participate in code reviews.
* Implement new features and enhancements.
* Ensure application scalability, performance, and security.
* Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code.
* Troubleshoot and debug issues.
* Participate in system architure discussions.
### Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
* 1-3 years of experience in web or cross-platform mobile development.
* Proficiency in Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
* Familiarity with Node.js, Express, and MongoDB.
* Basic understanding of cloud services like AWS, Cloudflare, Vercel.
* Knowledge of software development best practices.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
### Nice to Have
Experience with:
* reservation systems or online marketplaces (e.g., Airbnb).
* mobile app development (Flutter, React Native, Swift, or Kotlin).
* Firebase for authentication
* scoping, building, and shipping a project end-to-end
