Rowan's Director of Supply Chain, reporting directly to the CFO, is
responsible for overseeing and optimizing the logistics, distribution,
purchasing and procurement, manufacturing, and inventory management functions
within the supply chain. The primary objective of this role is to enhance
productivity and efficiency while reducing costs to achieve production targets
and address business challenges, ensuring the organization meets or exceeds
its goals. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter and quick
learner, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining focus,
and adapting to various challenges.
What you'll do:
* Develops and implements effective supply chain strategies to enhance customer satisfaction while minimizing costs.
* Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery to the Distribution Center (DC), accurate DC forecasting, on-time shipping, and holding the DC accountable for agreed-upon Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Directs and coordinates global supply chain functions by optimizing resources, maximizing profitability, and tracking KPIs to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Plans, manages, and coordinates all sourcing and procurement activities to meet changing product demand levels efficiently.
* Collaborates with factories, warehouses, and logistics teams to ensure a seamless flow of products.
* Partners with the sales department to determine the most cost-effective distribution solutions for transporting finished goods to customers.
* Monitors and adjusts inventory levels at both internal and external (3PL) warehouses to ensure proper stock rotation and optimize working capital.
* Negotiates and sets routes and rates with freight forwarders and transportation companies, reviewing and approving all freight terms and agreements.
* Ensures effective utilization of the ERP system (NetSuite) within the supply chain operations.
* Regularly reports on department KPIs through a dashboard, providing analysis and implementing countermeasures when necessary.
* Manages the 3PL workflow and priorities, approving Value-Added Services (VAS) and other special projects as needed.
What you bring to the table:
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
* Proven track record in a senior supply chain role, ideally within the retail or ecommerce sector.
* Experience with global supply chain operations and management, as well as experience managing relationships with suppliers and logistics providers.
* In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
* Strong leadership and team management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in the use of ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and other supply chain management software.
* Strong negotiation skills and experience working with freight forwarders and transportation companies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges.
* Proven ability to optimize resources and maximize profitability while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
* Familiarity with compliance and quality assurance processes within the supply chain.
