**Position Overview**
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and
evolving the cloud infrastructure of our telehealth service, ensuring that the
architecture and systems meet the scalability, reliability, and performance
requirements of the project phases.
**Responsibilities**
* Cloud Infrastructure: Design, set up and maintain the cloud infrastructure required for the mobile and web platforms, and backend admin system.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the development and QA teams to automate testing, integration, and deployment pipelines.
* Security Compliance: Ensure secure handling of patient data and healthcare records in compliance with healthcare regulations in Nigeria and West Africa.
* Performance Tuning: Continuously monitor system performance and reliability, adjusting as necessary for scale.
* Containerization and Orchestration: Manage containers for microservices, ensuring seamless deployment and scaling.
* Database Management: Work with the database team to ensure high availability and backup for all patient and provider data.
* Version Control: Maintain version control and branching strategies.
* Feedback Loop: Assist in setting up monitoring and logging solutions to provide performance metrics and system alerts.
* Deployment: Handle code deployments across development, QA, and production environments for all platforms and phases.
* Environment Management: Create and maintain development, staging, and production environments.
**Qualifications**
* Experience: 3+ years in a DevOps role, preferably in a healthcare environment.
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Skills: Proficiency in cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, containerization tools like Docker, orchestration tools like Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
* Scripting: Experience in scripting languages like Python, Shell, or Ruby.
* Database: Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Agile: Familiarity with SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
* Language: Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
