I have been working on a solution in the loneliness space for about 8 months,
and I am looking for a technical co-founder who is passionate about mental
health and the power of connection. Loneliness is now considered as deadly as
smoking 15 cigarettes a day, and is the #1 cause of premature death in men.
This is a huge market with decades of work to be done.
I have done a lot of the un-sexy work - deep dives into researching the
market, conducting interviews, running surveys, and developing an advisory
board of experts. I have hired a product designer who is excellent, and has
begun developing a clickable prototype. Now, I need to find the right partner
to bring our vision to life.
We are pre-funding and I have bootstrapped all costs thus far. Here are
details on what I can offer, and whoโs a good fit, in no particular order:
-Large equity stake in a global and growing market
-Founder salary once seed funding is in place (would need to be able to go 6 months without a salary now)
-Passionate about mental health
-Believes in a work/life balance that supports a culture true to the mission of the company
-Believes in talking to customers, rapid iteration, and simple MVPโs
-Makes decisions with a steady hand, based on evidence
-Experience successfully building B2C mobile apps
-Believes in the importance of impact measurement
-Local to Boston at least part-time
