We have a remote position for a Data Scientist / Software Engineer. This is
all remote work. This is a long term contract role. We can do C2C.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
* 5+ years with top tier institution working in software development and/or algorithmic design.
* Expert in algorithmic design in Python, C# or C++, object-oriented design and service-oriented architectures (3+ years).
* Expert in Python coding / Flask / Linux Scripting / AWS.
* Experience in UI design, wireframes, and/or mockups using Flask, or comparable frameworks.
* Agile software development.
* Demonstrated experience with SQL and relational database technologies, such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or comparable.
* Demonstrated experience using Apache Hadoop and/or Apache Spark stack for big data processing, or comparable distributed computing platforms.
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Experience with processing and coding real-time data.
Demonstrated experience using data streaming technologies and SQL, data
pipeline automation.
Demonstrated experience with code repositories and build/deployment pipelines,
specifically Bitbucket and/or Git.
Knowledge & experience with microservices, service mesh, API development and
test automation.
Demonstrated experience using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or other similar
container frameworks.
Strong coding skills and experience with Python (including SciPy, NumPy,
and/or PySpark) and/or Scala.
Familiarity for MVC, TDD and Agile/Kanban development processes.
Very comfortable working with ambiguity (e.g. imperfect data, loosely defined
concepts, ideas, or goals).
