**About this role:**
We are rapidly expanding our team! We are looking for highly motivated
software engineer who wants to build life-changing software in the health tech
space. You will work with a skilled group of engineers/developers and help
build new features while scaling the existing products.
We are an agile team that works in a fast-paced environment, your voice is
critical to our growth and success. If you are an individual that is
passionate about making a difference and want to write some awesome code to
drive our product forward.
**What you will do:**
* Collaborating with management, development team members and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications, this would include new features ad scale product.
* Produce efficient and effective code based on requirements.
* Write unit and integration tests and ensure proper coverage.
* Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing code.
* Review code and provide feedback with other members of the Prevail team.
* Work with cutting edge technologies and work within the entire stack.
* Assist with high-level architecture decisions keeping in mind scale and growth.
* Deploy code to staging and production environment.
* Positively contribute to a solid mission and be a critical voice within the team.
* Develop technical documentation to guide future software development projects.
**What we are looking for:**
* A degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
* 4+ years working with Ruby on Rails OR
* 4+ years working with React, Angular, Vue etc.
* Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
* The desire to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
* Experience with service-oriented and object-oriented programming.
* Ability to write tests.
* A self-starter and able to independently handle multiple task and priorities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks with minimal oversight
* Passion for learning new technologies
* Must live in the United States
**Preferred Experience:**
* Solid DevOps chops!
* Healthcare (HIPAA) and/or strong security background a huge plus, but not required.
* Master’s degree in computer science or Cyber Security.
