Position Overview:
As a Sr. React Native Developer at Place, you will play a pivotal role in
creating and maintaining high-quality mobile applications that cater to the
specific needs of real estate professionals and home seekers. You will
collaborate closely with our cross-functional team of designers, product
managers, and backend developers to deliver exceptional user experiences. By
leveraging your expertise in React Native, you will be responsible for
developing new features, enhancing existing functionalities, and ensuring the
overall performance and reliability of our mobile applications.
Responsibilities:
* Develop robust and user-friendly mobile applications using React Native.
* Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers to implement new features and functionalities based on business requirements.
* Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, designing, coding, testing, and deployment.
* Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following industry best practices and coding standards.
* Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve any issues or bugs, ensuring a seamless user experience.
* Optimize application performance for both Android and iOS platforms.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in mobile app development, React Native, and related technologies.
* Provide technical expertise and contribute to architectural discussions and decisions.
* Work in an agile development environment, actively participating in stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* Proven experience developing mobile applications using React Native, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
* Solid understanding of JavaScript, React, and Redux.
* Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
* Familiarity with mobile app development processes and tools, including code signing, deployment, and release management.
* Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
* Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Passion for mobile app development and a desire to stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
* Must have experience with AWS
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in the real estate industry or building real estate-related applications.
* Familiarity with native app development (Java/Kotlin for Android, Swift/Objective-C for iOS).
* Knowledge of backend technologies and frameworks, such as Node.js and Express.
* Understanding of UI/UX principles and the ability to work closely with designers to create visually appealing and intuitive interfaces.
* Experience with automated testing frameworks, such as Jest or Detox.
* Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
