**The Role**
Joining our small team, you'll have the opportunity for true ownership and
responsibility as we build out the product. This is a unique opportunity to
make a REAL, meaningful impact on the lives of parents and children through
your coding. We are looking for a full-stack engineer who can pick up things
quickly, is enthusiastic about building new products, and can write
scalable/high-performance code in multiple areas. This role will work directly
with the founders.
**What You 'll Do**
* Collaborate with the product and design teams to implement new features and improvements
* Build and maintain a React web application
* Engineer efficient and reusable systems that drive complex web and mobile applications
* Build and fine-tune recommendation engines to provide personalized content
* Maintain HIPAA and GDPR compliance and general security through best practice implementation
* Tackle tough design and product problems
* Work cross-functionally with design and product to deliver delightful user experiences
* Write and maintain technical documentation, unit tests, and integration tests
* Provide technical leadership in domain areas
**Who You Are**
* Passion for building something to improve the lives of others
* Production experience in React
* Experience building performant, responsive, web applications, search experiences, recommendation engines, and customizing CMS systems
* Strong experience in full stack development, including proficiency in most front-end and back-end technologies in our stack and a willingness to learn the others
* Familiarity with Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, React, AWS EC2
* Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
* Ability to work effectively with a distributed development and ops team
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Able to begin work soon
**Nice-to-Have:**
* Experience with mobile app development (iOS/Android)
* Understanding of data analytics and data-driven decision-making
