anticipate raising a pre seed round in the near future and the listed salary
is reflective of a successful raise. Currently we will be offering hourly

### **About the Role**

We're on the hunt for a Full Stack Developer who thrives in startup
environments and is passionate about building from the ground up. As the
second engineer on our team, you'll have a unique opportunity not just to
develop cutting-edge web products but also to play a pivotal role in shaping
our engineering culture. This position is all about greenfield
projects—meaning you'll be freed from the constraints of legacy code and have
the freedom to architect solutions the right way, right from the start.

**What You 'll Do:**

* **Lead Development** : Take charge of the technical design, implementation, testing, and documentation for several new products.
* **Innovate and Optimize** : Craft robust, maintainable components and libraries. Leverage plug-in technologies to enhance functionality. Advance our commitment to responsive, web-first application development.
* **Uphold Quality** : Maintain high code standards through thorough pull requests and by building automated tests with tools like React Testing Library and Cypress.
* **Collaborate and Shape Culture** : Join a compact team of seasoned web developers with deep industry experience across sectors like education and e-commerce. You'll contribute not only to our projects but to fostering an engineering culture that truly detests technical debt and values continuous improvement in our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with each sprint.

### About You

* Solid experience and desire to sling HTML, CSS, Tailwind, Yarn, etc.
* Modern JS skills with specific experience in React and Typescript
* Experience with ORMs and SQL esp. Postgres
* Experience working with APIs to ingest data and interfacing with vendors and partners
* Understanding of automated testing with React Testing Library and Cypress
* Knowledge of distributed version control systems (e.g. Git on Github)
* Strong knowledge of React ecosystem and opinions about what a good stack looks like
* Comfortable with sudden shifts in functionality as we respond rapidly to user feedback.
* You’re not afraid of on-call shifts and hot-fixes, if they have to happen. Of course, you know that solid testing minimizes the pain of on-call and hotfix!

**Nice to have’s:**

* Ability and willingness to document your code effectively in README’s, videos, etc.
* Experience in CD/CI/Cloud deployments such as AWS, GCP, terraform
* Experience in engineering for digitally native/software businesses & products
* Experience in devoloping/deploying enterprise-grade ML/AI models in the cloud
* Experience or strong interest in sports, NIL and/or SportsTech

### Interviewing for this role

* You’ll meet with our co-founders to assess culture fit and a general discussion about the position to understand your background and how you align with our team's dynamics.
* You’ll meet with our CTO for a more in-depth conversation focusing on a typical problem you'd encounter in the day-to-day, assessing your problem-solving skills and technical expertise. (Think system design rather than leetcode, more info on the intro call)
* A more junior candidate may work on a small take-home assignment to assess style and approach.
