About this Job
Cloud Engineers are responsible for solving the toughest problems that we have
working across the platform with software, infrastructure and network and
automating
the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of our technology solution in
cloud.
As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll be responsible for enabling our software products
across the
stack, from client-facing mobile infrastructure to core back-end functionality
to
database optimization and secured connectivity across all of these. You’ll be
deeply
involved in the design of large-scale distributed systems on our internal
networks and
remote client architectures. Deep-diving into optimization across various
parts of the
system and software will make you an effective member of the Cloud Engineering
team.
You love solving problems, and working in various technology solutions in
close
collaboration with the software development team As a Cloud Engineer you will
help
build a meaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to
develop
creative engineering solutions to operations problems. You’ll join a team of
curious
problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are thinking big and
taking risks.
Our software stack includes containerized technology across *nix systems.
We’re looking
for candidates who love to learn and are able to adapt quickly.
**Relevant Skills and Experience**
· Experience with at least one of the following scripting languages: Bash,
PowerShell,
Python, Ruby, JavaScript/Node.js
· Experience with at least one of the following compiled languages: Java, C++,
Go
· Design, code, test and deliver software to automate manual operational work.
· Identify application patterns and analytics in support of better service
level
objectives.
· Design self-healing and resiliency patterns.
· Design automated software and product upgrades, change management, and
release management solutions.
· Good knowledge and understanding of operating systems, runtime and how
large-scale systems work together
· Experience/Knowledge with automation and configuration management tools
(Maven, Terraform)
· Experience/Knowledge with continuous integration and deployment tools
(Jenkins,
Concourse, Travis CI, GitLab CI, Semaphore CI)
· An avid problem solver who relentlessly pursues solutions to evasive nagging
issues
· Good knowledge and understanding of networking technologies
· Ability to design and implement PRE best practices (monitoring, integration,
and
analysis of related tools)
· Good knowledge of building and deploying container services and installation
packages such as Docker
· Proficient in security best practices for cloud configurations and
deployments
· Familiar with best practices for facilitating Agile and Test Driven
Development
· Strong communication skills and a collaborative team member
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
