Responsibilities
You will collaborate closely with the founding team to understand project
objectives and requirements. Your role involves designing, developing, and
implementing blockchain-based solutions for healthcare data management,
ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR in all
data handling and storage processes. You’ll develop secure and scalable
systems for storing and retrieving electronic health records (EHRs), and
implement smart contracts and other blockchain features relevant to healthcare
data security and integrity.
Working with cross-functional teams, including healthcare professionals,
developers, and data scientists, you’ll integrate solutions effectively.
Staying updated with industry trends, emerging blockchain technologies, and
healthcare data standards is essential. You’ll troubleshoot and resolve
technical issues related to blockchain implementation and data system
performance, and contribute to the development of documentation, including
technical specifications, user guides, and compliance manuals.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software
Engineering, or a related field, with proven experience in blockchain
development, preferably within healthcare applications. Proficiency in
programming languages such as zKP, Go, Python, or PostGres SQL, C++ is
required, along with a strong understanding of blockchain technologies like
KSI Blockchain and Hyperledger Fabric. Familiarity with healthcare data
standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and interoperability protocols is important, as is
knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and GDPR.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills are needed, with the ability
to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You should be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as within
a team environment, thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic startup setting.
Bonus Points
Additional qualifications that would set you apart include experience with
smart contract development and deployment, knowledge of cryptography and data
security principles, and familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS
or Azure. Experience in integrating blockchain solutions with existing
healthcare systems, a master’s degree or higher in a related field, and
certification in blockchain technologies or healthcare IT would also be
advantageous.
