qualified candidate to join our team as General Counsel.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement legal strategies aligning with OpenTrack's business
objectives, ensuring compliance with domestic and international laws and
regulations.
Provide guidance on legal matters related to the development and delivery of
OpenTrack's container visibility platform.
Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and execution of various contracts,
including client agreements, partnerships, and vendor contracts, while
reviewing and advising on contractual obligations, rights, and risks.
Identify and assess legal risks associated with business operations, offering
proactive solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop
risk mitigation strategies.
Provide guidance on corporate governance matters, encompassing board issues,
regulatory compliance, and corporate policies. Maintain corporate records to
ensure compliance.
Manage and safeguard OpenTrack's intellectual property portfolio, advising on
issues like trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
Oversee and manage legal disputes, working with external counsel when
necessary, and implementing strategies to minimize legal exposure and costs.
Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships,
conducting due diligence, and advising on the legal implications of such
transactions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales,
and finance, to offer active legal guidance and support.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Admitted to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
8+ years of legal experience, with a focus on supporting technology startups,
particularly in Series A-C stages.
Strong background in contract law, corporate governance, and intellectual
property.
Proven experience managing legal risks in a technology or SaaS company.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
