We are looking for a technical leader who will be brought on as the most
senior technical engineer on the team, taking up the role of
Engineering/Technical Lead of the company. You are expected to have deep
technical knowledge, architect complex platform/framework solutions, and help
grow the engineering team.

**Responsibilities**
* Drive the architecture and development of all technical decisions: front and backend architecture, database design, infrastructure, security, and engineering workflows.
* You will be brought in as the most senior technical engineer. You are expected to provide strategic leadership and technical guidance to 5-8 other engineers.
* Deeply involved with product decisions and roadmap planning.
* Help to scale the engineering team and shape the engineering culture.
* Manage resources effectively, including budget allocation and recruitment.
* Champion a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the engineering team.
* Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance platform functionality and security.
**Who we are looking for**
* At least 6+ years of production software engineering experience.
* Proven experience as a tech lead, TLM, or staff/principal engineer.
* A 10x engineer and problem solver who can learn fast, and can drive toward clarity in the face of ambiguity.
* Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development and architecturing large scale products.
* In-depth experience with full-stack web technologies.
* Experience in a high-growth environment working with deadlines and milestones.
* Deeply-versed in technical trade-offs and software engineering best practices.
* You want to be at an early stage startup. You’re not afraid of hard work, complex problems, and rapidly changing environments. You are deeply curious about emerging technologies.
* Excited about the future that we are building.
**Bonuses but not required**
* Located in the Bay Area (prefer Pacific Time, Mountain Time, Central Time, or Eastern Time)
* Contributed and worked on reactive web frameworks (react, preact, vue, svelte, solidjs)
* Deep understanding of reactivity (signals, observables, pub/sub), or Javascript runtime and packaging system (node.js)
* Experience working on products where User Experience and/or Developer Experience are critical
* Worked on a horizontal platform or framework solution, or have scaled a community/ecosystem driven product
