The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with the Cloud team and interact with a
strong network of developers and engineers to develop, enhance, and maintain
System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) artifacts for various Health Information
Technology projects. This will include recommending schemas, storage layers,
and database engines including relational, graph, columnar, and document-based
according to requirements.
The position will work with various Cloud platforms such as Amazon Web
Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure and will require knowledge of Internet
Protocols (IP) such as Domain Name System (DNS), Hyper Text Transfer Protocol
(HTTP), and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
Demonstrate an understanding of principals supporting infrastructure
components including compute, network, and storage.
The focus of this role is to deliver end-to-end solutions for automation and
cloud enablement. The position will integrate new data sources from enterprise
sources and external vendors using a variety of ingestion patterns including
Structured Query Language (SQL) Ingestion, File, and Application Programming
Interfaces (APIs).
The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated team player and have excellent
communication skills, enabling you to engage with all levels of stakeholders.
They will have experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, and
Java. This is a unique opportunity to be able to contribute and grow
foundational Cloud and DevOps skills across a diverse technology stack and
architectures.
This position may be eligible to participate in the Department's pilot
telework program, which offers eligible employees the opportunity to work
remotely for up to two (2) days per week, as approved by management.
