The **VP of Engineering** at Mursion is responsible for mentoring and managing
directors of engineering, engineering managers as well as software and testing
engineers. The perfect candidate sees their team as their product. While they
are technically credible and know the details of what engineers work on, their
time is spent safeguarding their team’s health, hiring a world-class team, and
putting them in the best position to succeed. They own the delivery of product
commitments and are always looking to improve productivity. They must also
coordinate across departments to accomplish collaborative goals. You will
often be given ambiguous ill-defined problems with the implicit goal of
gaining clarity and driving execution/direction.
This role involves managing directors of engineering, engineering managers,
and software and testing engineers. The ideal candidate views their team as
their product and prioritizes their well-being and success. While technically
proficient, the VP of Engineering focuses on team health, world-class hiring,
and optimizing team performance. This role also includes ensuring the timely
delivery of product commitments and driving continuous productivity
improvements. Cross-departmental coordination to achieve collaborative goals
is essential. You will tackle ambiguous, ill-defined problems, providing
clarity and direction.
This is a full-time, fully-remote, salaried position reporting to the CTO.
The compensation package for this position includes an annual base salary
range from $200K-$225K based on experience and location, as well as
eligibility for company bonus and equity.

**Education**
