**About This Role - Director of Finance & Accounting:**
MPCH is looking for a Director of Finance & Accounting to be pivotal in
steering our financial operations and providing essential leadership. We're in
search of a discerning individual who can harness data for practical insights
and ensure we're positioned efficiently for future endeavors. Directly
reporting to the Head of Finance, this position offers a chance to delve deep
into the dynamic domain of crypto, with the backing of a globally distributed
team. We are seeking an entrepreneurial contributor that will eventually
become the Head of Finance.
**Company Overview:**
Founded in 2021, we are at the forefront of the crypto Enterprise Key
Management services market. Through both SaaS and secure enterprise hardware
hosting and services, we have established our reputation in the industry.
After raising $40 million in a Series A financing round in August 2022, we
continue to evolve and expand. Our dedicated team of professionals operates
globally with key offices in New York and London. The ideal candidate for this
role will live within a short commute/flight of NYC.
**Position Highlights:**
* Salary: $150,000 - 175,000 (commensurate with experience) + Equity
* Reporting to: Head of Finance; eventually reporting to COO
**Your Mission:**
* Strategic Financial Guidance: Collaborate with the executive team to frame financial strategies in line with company goals.
* Financial Oversight: Lead financial planning, analysis, and manage the cap table.
* Operational Excellence: Set internal KPIs, enhancing our grasp on financial performance and operational efficiency.
* Reporting and Analytics: Establish a consistent reporting function that offers actionable business insights.
* Investor Relations: Act as a liaison between our investors and executive team, fostering transparent communication.
* Accounting Expertise: Lead all accounting functions with the aid of a part-time accountant and an external accounting firm, with an aim to transition our books in-house in due course.
* Cash Flow and Auditing: Oversee weekly cash flow reports, initiate a monthly financial close process, and ensure we're audit-prepared.
* Payroll Management: Handle payroll processing meticulously.
* Strategic Analysis: Engage in thorough analysis for potential M&A opportunities and ensure judicious capital allocation.
**Your Experience:**
* A minimum of 10 years' experience in finance and accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
* Bachelor's in accounting/finance. A CPA certification is required.
* Experience in a high-growth, VC-backed firm is advantageous.
* A methodical approach, with experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategic financial management.
* Proficiency in US GAAP. Familiarity with UK GAAP and international consolidation is an asset.
* Strong communication skills, adept at explaining complex financial data.
