### About the Role
The Moonbeam Foundation is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Product
Manager to join as the first product manager on our team. As a Product
Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the development of
Moonbeam's platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams,
including engineering, design, marketing, and business development, to define
and execute the product roadmap and strategy. This role is a unique
opportunity to make a significant impact on the blockchain and crypto
industry.
### What You’ll Do
As the Moonbeam Foundation’s sole Product Manager, you will be accountable for
success in the following areas.
* **Product Strategy** : You will develop a clear product strategy that creates differentiation and sustainable growth for Moonbeam. You will gather input on the product strategy from all stakeholders and foster cross-functional alignment to deliver breakthrough growth. You will embrace data-driven decision making while also cultivating the insights and creativity needed to drive innovation in emerging and volatile markets.
* **Roadmap Development & Project Management**: You will own the product roadmap & product development. Working with internal stakeholders, you will prioritize features, enhancements, and releases. You will own the product development process, adopting industry best practices such as agile project management to improve release velocity and quality.
* **Feature Definition** : You will create detailed product requirements, user stories, and specifications for the engineering team, ensuring a clear understanding of product goals and objectives.
* **Research Users, Market, & Competition**: You will work with cross-functional partners to conduct market research & competitive analysis. You will gather user feedback and product input from across the Moonbeam ecosystem in a structured manner to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs.
* **Product Launch** : You will coordinate and, in collaboration with cross-functional partners, execute product launches. Go-to-market will be developed in advance and executed in close collaboration with marketing and sales.
* **Data Analysis** : You will develop and be accountable for product related OKRs & KPIs. You will analyze product performance to identify areas for improvement. You will deliver monthly reports on progress & insights and participate in quarterly business reviews and annual planning.
* **Cross-Functional Leadership** : You will lead engineering and design resources required for successful product development. You will collaborate with DevRel, Marketing, and other teams to ensure successful product development, regulatory compliance, launch, and ongoing support. You will participate in ongoing process improvement, including the development of new functional areas such as Product Marketing.
* **Customer Centricity** : You will guarantee that we build solutions with a well-defined user profile and value proposition. Where relevant, you will embrace user-centered design. You will strive to make Moonbeam’s products the easiest, most enjoyable, and most valuable in web3.
### About You
* MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
* 5+ years experience as a Product Manager with 2+ years in the cryptocurrency, blockchain, or fintech industry.
* Track record of owning full-lifecycle product roadmaps and building innovative technology in emerging markets.
* Strong understanding of blockchain technology and the crypto industry with experience working with and building solutions for developers.
* Ability to flex into technical product management, user-centered design, or product strategy as the job requires.
* Technical background with an understanding of software & blockchain development. Familiar with Dapp design principles, architecture and tooling; Solidity based Smart Contracts; evolving ERC standards; Substrate. Nice to have familiarity with Polkadot Network Architecture and XCM and GMP Protocols.
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Fluency in English.
* Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to manage ambiguity and influence complex organizations to drive alignment and action.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and work effectively in a cross-functional team.
* Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
