##### Job Description :
We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our Technology
Infrastructure team . As part of a global follow the sun team of network
engineers in North America, EMEA, and APAC, the Network Engineer focuses on
architecture, design, development, deployment, and support of Millennium’s
high performance global networks with extreme uptime requirements utilizing
cutting edge network technologies. This role will focus on all aspects of core
enterprise networking including datacenters, market data, exchange proximity
colocation sites, wide area networks, cloud connectivity, and end user and
office environments
##### **Principal Responsibilities:**
* Engineering, deployment, operations, and technical ownership of Millennium’s global enterprise network spanning hundreds of offices, data centers, and colocation sites worldwide.
* Work on a broad networking scope from routing and switching, to firewalls, DMZ, Cloud Connectivity, WAN/MAN connectivity, and load-balancers.
* Actively participate in the global team responsible for low-latency market data, exchange and counter-party connectivity, and order execution and settlement.
* Serve as an escalation point for critical issues. Help connect the global team to key network challenges and needs of the region.
* Development of global standards and best practices and strict adherence to the global standards in all implementations
* L2-L5 operational support with expertise in developing network automation and monitoring tools and frameworks in order to transfer operational support to dedicated operations and support teams.
##### **Skills Required:**
* Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
* 7-10 years of experience in a network engineering, operations, and support
* Proven ability to work hands on and take on a strong technical ownership capability in a global organization.
* Fundamental understanding of networking concepts such as switching and routing, enterprise WAN/MAN circuits, VPN, Firewalls, Load-Balancing
* Expert knowledge of BGP routing protocol, with a working knowledge of EIGRP & OSPF
* Experience working with Cisco and Arista switches, Palo Alto and Cisco ASA, F5, Viavi, and Corvil.
* Exposure to Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) networking is highly valuable.
* Experience in financial markets networking, including multicast routing is highly desired.
* Working knowledge of Python, Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, GitHub.
* Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
* Ability and willingness to work in a mission critical global environment that is ticking 24x6 days a week
Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary,
discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The
estimated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $175,000, which
is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an
offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the
qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total
compensation package.
