### **About the Role**
Metadata Website Personalization team is looking for a **Back End** **
Engineer**. The team is responsible for building a real-time behavior tracking
and analytics framework that allows customers to build realtime personalized
web experiences and landing pages.
**Your Impact:**
You will be responsible for driving end to end features from design &
implementation, through to testing. The ideal candidate has experience
building robust and scalable features with Python, and a passion to dive deep
into challenging code. An understanding of process execution, monitoring, and
optimization is a plus.
### **What You Will Do:**
* Implement and ship features for digital behavior tracking, analytics engine and integrated frameworks
* Design and build highly scalable, maintainable, testable, and reusable Python applications using Flask or Django
* Participate actively in detailed design, code reviews, bug/issue triage with the feature teams, and make well-informed business and engineering decisions
* Operate independently or collaborate closely with a team to deliver quality deliverables
* Mentor developers on technologies, tools, and processes
* Develop test strategies, design automation frameworks, write unit/functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation metrics
**Primary ** **Requirements** **:**
* 6+ years of experience in developing and deploying large scale applications using Python.
* Experience with SQL and NoSQL Database
* Experience in automated testing including unit and functional testing
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Experience building highly scalable web applications.
* Familiarity with Agile software development, scrum and test-driven development.
* You have experience deploying applications in a cloud based environment such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform
**Bonus Points:**
* You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
* You have built microservices and/or transitioned code from a monolithic application to microservices
* You have experience with continuous integration/deployment
* Experience in GCP AppEngine, Big Query and Data Store services.
* Knowledge front end tech stack such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JavaScript, ReactJS, Node, Webpack, Redux
