Engineering Manager

We are looking for an engineering manager who will lead a growing team of
engineering staff implementing device control and energy optimization
solutions. Our ideal candidate will be motivated to become a core member of
this mission driven team. This role will report to our CTO and will be
responsible for a mix of team management and technical leadership.

What you bring to the role:

β€’ BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
β€’ 10+ years of software engineering experience in all phases of a software
development lifecycle
β€’ 1+ years of hands-on management experience leading engineering teams
β€’ Ability to communicate and articulate crisply at all levels from executive
staff to engineers
β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and careful attention to
detail.
β€’ Ability to multi-task and manage high-stress situations calmly and
effectively in order to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
β€’ Ability to work well with diverse teams.
β€’ Knowledge of modern software engineering practices and how to apply them.
You help the team deliver iteratively and continuously.
β€’ Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
β€’ Proven ability to exercise good judgment within defined best practices to
determine appropriate action.
β€’ Experience in a client facing role.
β€’ Demonstrate strong leadership, presentation, and written and spoken
communication skills to build internal and external stakeholder relationships.
β€’ Strong people skills, as you will deal with third party vendors regularly.
Extra credit (nice to have):
β€’ Knowledge of the distributed energy resource domain, including technologies
and applications such as solar PV, battery storage, electric vehicle smart
charging and grid integration, demand response strategies, or similar.
