models to transition seamlessly from virtual environments to real-world robots

**Our Mission**
AI in robotics still remains largely confined to academic institutions,
specialized labs, and well-funded enterprises. There isn’t a unified
collaboration hub akin to GitHub or HuggingFace for sharing and advancing
robotic AI projects.

At Lucky Robots, we’re bridging this gap by developing a simulation
environment that serves as the local hub for AI robotics, similar to how
localhost functions for GitHub and HuggingFace. Our platform will enable users
to effortlessly download and deploy any AI model designed for various robots.
To achieve this, we need to ensure our platform can effectively train AI
models that are not only robust within simulations but also practical in real-
world applications. This is where your expertise comes in.

**Who We Are**
We are an AI robotics startup dedicated to addressing real-world challenges by
focusing on practical and achievable solutions. Instead of spreading our
efforts thin, we concentrate on specific, composable tasks to achieve level 5
autonomy.

**Position: Founding Perception Engineer**
We are seeking a passionate and driven Perception Engineer to join our team at
an early stage, offering significant opportunities for immediate and
substantial impact.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Transform complex, real-world challenges into specific, actionable machine learning tasks.
* Design, develop, and execute sophisticated computer vision algorithms.
* Innovate and build unique neural network architectures tailored to our projects.
* Develop and integrate sturdy 3D geometry-based vision systems.
* Create scalable machine learning infrastructures that can manage large datasets while ensuring reproducibility.
* Continuously analyze and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of various algorithms.
* Implement machine learning models and pipelines on edge devices with limited computational resources without sacrificing performance.
* Assist in achieving Level 5 autonomy for consumer robotics.
* Hire your prospective team members and manage output

**Qualifications**

* Strong background in machine learning, particularly in computer vision and perceptual tasks, including 3D perception, multi-class object detection, 3D mapping, and advanced robotics control systems.
* Previous 2+ years job experience in machine learning for robotics startup or an AI startup that you can clearly demonstrate your expertise is transferable to robotics
* Proven experience in applying research to develop real-world, product-focused solutions.
* Proficiency in Rust or C++ and Python (with frameworks like PyTorch).
* Ability to write clean, maintainable, and reliable code.
