**The Role**
As a Backend Engineer at Leya AI, you'll be in charge of the development of
our backend infrastructure. This means that you love identifying needs for
improvement and driving that change. You will be a part of a small team where
rapid development is a part of everyday life, so we hope that you’re excited
about change. Because of the small nature of the team, you will work across
the whole backend infrastructure. Being able to prioritize the needs with
guidance from our CTO will therefore be key.
We built our backend systems on FastAPI & Postgres, our frontend on React, our
data layer on BigQuery & Superset and we host on AWS & GCP. Join a dynamic

**Responsibilities:**
* Lead the charge in developing Leya AI's backend.
* Champion the implementation of best development practices for sustainable growth.
* Shape the future of Leya AI with your technical expertise and visionary thinking.
* Make sure our automated deployments stay quick and painless, so we can ship immediately to production.
* Collaborate through GitHub pull requests, and code reviews, and provide valuable team feedback.
* Keep the codebase covered by tests to ensure robustness.
* Build tools with Large Language Models.
**Qualifications:**
* Minimum of 3 years in backend web development, Python proficiency required (bonus points for additional experience).
* Cloud providers are your second home.
* Familiarity with speech- or audio applications, large language models, FastAPI, Postgres, AWS, or GCP? Even better!
