As we expand, we are looking to add our first dedicated Site Reliability
Engineer (SRE) to the team. This person will play a crucial role in enhancing
our AWS infrastructure, improving networking, ensuring scalability, and
maintaining a strong security posture as we continue to grow. We care about

**What you’ll do:**
* Design, develop, and maintain our AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring best practices in security, performance, and scalability.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement infrastructure as code (IAC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
* Design, configure, and manage networking components such as VPCs, subnets, security groups, and routing tables to support our growing infrastructure requirements.
* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment of applications and infrastructure changes.
* Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and cost of cloud resources, proactively addressing potential issues.
* Collaborate with the development team, especially on SQL (PostgreSQL), Node.js, and React for reliable software delivery and issue resolution.
* Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
* Analyze service and application performance, manage performance monitors, and collaborate with the engineering team to improve performance.
* Establish, implement, and maintain security best practices, policies, and tools to ensure the protection of our infrastructure, applications, and data.
* Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and remediate potential risks.
* Continuously research and stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps, SecOps, and cloud security tools, trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement across our infrastructure.
* Document processes and procedures, ensuring that our infrastructure and operations are easily maintainable, scalable, and secure.
**What you’ll need:**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS services, networking, scalability, and security.
* Experience with SQL, Node.js and ideally some React.
* Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, or related IAC technologies.
* Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., CircleCI, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
* Strong experience with cloud security best practices, tools, and frameworks such as IAM, security groups, encryption, and data protection.
* Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience with VPCs, subnets, security groups, and routing tables.
* Experience with automated testing frameworks and methodologies.
* Experience with security audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation measures.
* Exceptional problem-solving aptitude in dynamic settings, coupled with articulate communication skills for effective team interactions.

The base salary range for this role is between $140k - $175k. The actual
salary offered will be determined based on factors such as relevant
experience, qualifications, and the successful candidate's overall fit within
our organization and total package will include components such as benefits
and stock options.
