**About this role**
We're looking for a founding frontend engineer to join our team and lead the
frontend experience at KYD Labs.
**Objectives**
* Be a natural leader and promote KYD Labs' core values
* Design, build, and maintain KYD Labs' front end application
* Ensure close to native performance in browser
* Build high quality components: canvas, data sheets, rich text editors, analytics charts
* Design, build and maintain KYD Labs' frontend synchronization strategy (offline first, with backend sync)
* Establish engineering operational excellence
* Build and maintain frontend CI/CD pipeline
* Establish front end engineering development best practices
* Contribute to and co-own engineering roadmap with CTO
* Expand KYD Labs' engineering team by hiring teammates who are a good culture and technical add
Skills
* 5+ years of experience working at startups or product organizations
* 2+ years of experience leading a front end engineering team (hiring, coaching, managing, etc)
* 4+ years of experience in React.js
* Experience building React frontend clients
* Understanding and strong stance on what a good engineering culture looks like
* Track record of building frontend services from ground up to delivery
* Track record of establishing operational excellence
* Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines
* Experience working in high-uncertainty startup environment and risk assessment
Strong focus on UX / UI and building productive relationships with research,
design, and product teams.
