**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to join our team in
Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling
software solutions, with at least 6 years of experience in the industry.
Experience in the energy sector is highly desirable. This role offers
significant growth opportunities and reports directly to senior management.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Identifying Opportunities: Researching and identifying new business
opportunities - whether through partnerships, alliances, new markets, or new
products/services.
Market Research: Conducting market research to understand trends, customer
needs, and competitor activities to position the company effectively.
Building Relationships: Establishing and maintaining relationships with
potential clients, partners, and other stakeholders to expand the company's
network and enhance its reputation.
Sales Strategy: Developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve
growth targets and expand the customer base.
Negotiation and Closing Deals: Negotiating contracts and closing deals with
clients or partners to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with other departments such as
marketing, product development, and operations to ensure alignment and support
for business development initiatives.
Proposal Development: Preparing proposals, presentations, and pitches to
prospective clients or partners.
Monitoring Performance: Monitoring and analyzing sales and marketing metrics
to measure the effectiveness of business development efforts and adjust
strategies as needed.
Market Intelligence: Gathering market intelligence and providing feedback to
the organization on market trends, competitive activities, and potential
opportunities for innovation.
Strategy Development: Contributing to the development of overall business
strategy based on market trends, competitive landscape, and company goals.
Risk Management: Assessing and managing risks associated with new business
opportunities and partnerships.

**Qualifications:**

Minimum of 6 years of experience.
Prior experience in the energy and utility sector is a significant advantage.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of the sales process, from prospecting to closing deals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and develop
effective sales strategies.
Self-motivated and results-driven with a proactive approach to work.
