Julep is the creation of a team of finance professionals, behavioral
psychologists, and marketers. Our mission is to empower members to improve
their financial wellbeing by providing relevant, trustworthy, and personalized
financial education, guidance, and support. We do this through our AI-powered
financial coach, Jules.
This is a hands-on role leading the design, architecture, and development of
our native mobile application as well as our AI financial coach. As Tech Lead,
you will be responsible for a team of resources to develop web apps as well as
native iOS and Android applications to support the business objectives.
**Responsibilities:**
* Collaborate with leadership team to define long-term product strategy
* Develop and manage strategic technology roadmap to deliver on business strategy
* Identify and assemble technology resources to align with technology roadmap
* Establish technology architecture and required infrastructure
* Architect, build, and maintain native applications with clean code
* Ensure industry-leading product delivery and availability
* Develop framework for all systems testing and monitoring
* Liaise with team members, leadership, and clients to ensure projects are completed to standard
**Requirements:**
* 5+ years of technology management experience
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
* Deep experience in full mobile development lifecycle
* Experience in a similar role would be advantageous
* Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
* Strong leadership and organizational abilities
* Willingness to build professional relationships with staff and clients
* Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills
**Nice to have:**
* Consumer financial services experience
* Experience with React or Vue.js, Django w/ Django Rest Framework, and Heroku
