**Job Description:**
The **Senior Network Engineer** utilizes state-of-the-art technologies to
perform their job role to the best of their ability. This is a well-
compensated position requiring sound critical thinking skills, meticulous
documentation, and high output in a variety of areas ranging from design desk,
installation, configuration, administration, and ongoing maintenance.
**Job Responsibilities:**
_Daily:_
* Reviews Cisco email notifications for any issues potentially impactful to client networks
* Tests new firewall operating systems prior to mass deployment
* Stays abreast of security network alerts, vulnerabilities, and attacks
* Administers and provides VPN user support
* Supports Network based multi-factor authentication
_Weekly:_
* Review Meraki and UniFi dashboards for pending updates and applies as necessary
* Updates network configurations and maps
* Performs onsite QA of client networks
* Reports on deprecated or soon to be end of life hardware to Client Account Manager
**Job KPI 's:**
* 80% Utilization
* Meets or exceeds Service Level Agreement (SLA) timers
* Meets or comes in below budgeted hour
**Job Qualifications:**
* First and foremost - a passion for networking
* Advanced understanding of managing, and troubleshooting networks
* Advanced understanding of virtualized environments
* Proficiency with Cisco networks
* Experience with Meraki administration
* Experience with UniFi administration
* Advanced understanding of indoor and outdoor wireless systems
* Effectively communicate with clients over the phone or in person
* Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated
* Ten (10) years of documented hands-on computer networking experience
* Maintain IT certifications relevant to the job function
* Must possess current certification in a network discipline such as Cisco, Meraki, CompTIA, or CWNP
**Compensation:**
Pay ranges from $53 - $62.50/hour and vary by experience and location.
Pay increase depends on acquisition of certificates. Technicians are expected
to take the company sponsored certification at least once every six months
upon hiring.
(Example certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCDST
or MCP.)
