**What You Will Do**
* Design software and architectural patterns which support our world class donor platform
* Lead best practices on deployment, monitoring, redundancy, and code management
* Define architectural standards and engineering best practices across our entire platform
* Set both near and long term architectural strategy
**30-60-90 Day Plan**
**30 Days**
* Dive deep to fully understand the product, tech stack, and current architectural patterns
* Contribute in some hands on way in the code to fully understand the developer experience
* Work with Product, Marketing, and Sales to get a firm understanding of the business from both a tactical and strategic level
**60 Days**
* Establish a strategic baseline for CI/CD, Monitoring, Security, & Resiliency that meets our near term needs
* Implement any necessary steps to harden our current posture in the above areas
* Work with the team to set expectations of code completeness, quality, and general engineering hygiene
**90 Days**
* Establish the long term enterprise class strategy to meet our needs in the areas of Scalability, Availability, Observability, Security, and Resiliency
* Participate in Product Strategy and Roadmap discussions to ensure technical alignment with Product needs
* Collaborate with leadership to define technical baselines that will establish Instil's engineering team as a world class product development organization
**What You Possess**
* About 8+ years of SaaS software engineering experience
* Meaningful experience architecting solutions with our stack:
* Frontend: Typescript, React, Next.js, Tailwind, Relay-GraphQL
* Backend: Python, Django, Strawberry-GraphQL, PostgreSQL
* Infra: AWS, Terraform, Render, Netlify, GitHub
* Ideally, experience in both enterprise and startup environments
* A highly collaborative team-first oriented approach to work
* A drive for helping to create cohesion and alignment across multiple teams
* Ideally, a strong understanding and passion for the nonprofit sector
