Job Description

Join us on an exhilarating mission at Hyperion, a VC-backed startup working
with Tim Hwang, CEO of FiscalNote (NYSE: NOTE). Our mission is to bring
transparency and resiliency to aerospace precision manufacturing ($1T
industry) by fusing our cutting-edge knowledge in artificial intelligence with
manufacturing expertise. We are dedicated to transforming and expediting the
maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) process for aircraft parts through
advanced AI software and autonomous production.

Our co-founders, with their extensive AI background from Google, Amazon Web
Services, and Lockheed Martin, are leading the charge. We're tackling the
persistent production challenges that have long plagued the aerospace
industry, where both workforce and technology adoption have lagged.

We're looking for a world-class manufacturing engineer who excel in solving
complex aerospace production and mechanical problems, strongly influence
design decisions, and own all aspects of technical communication with founders
and investors. Key responsibilities include owning the design and development
of mechanical aerospace systems and performing analysis on designs, including
hand calculations, FEA, and CAD, in a fast-paced environment.

**Your Background** :

• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing/mechanical engineering for specific
aerospace parts with hands-on experience driving the design and development of
mechanical components.

• 4+ years of experience with CAD and FEA software packages.

• Previous work experience at a high-growth, fast-paced startup is a plus (If
not, share with us your experience in hustling!).

• Created and designed extensive mechanical systems and structures for use in
aviation, rocketry, or similar fields.

• Designed intricate digital simulations of factory operations and
manufacturing procedures, as well as implemented automation for high-capacity
manufacturing processes.

• Experienced working with advanced Manufacturing 4.0 ecosystems is a plus.

**Your Mission** :

• Contribute to building the technical roadmap to disrupt the aerospace
manufacturing industry.

• Develop digital simulations with moderate to advanced fidelity for material
handling, part production, machining, and vehicle assembly processes.

• Cultivate a foundation of trust with potential customers while assuming the
role of a strategic advisor to advance design maturity of the programs we
support.

• Architect manufacturing process workflows for initial low-rate production.

• Make critical engineering decisions to improve manufacturing performance and
reliability for high-risk and bottleneck points in processes.

• Contribute to building the technical roadmap to disrupt the aerospace
manufacturing industry.

Is your background not a complete fit with the job description?

At our company, we wholeheartedly welcome individuals from a wide range of
diverse backgrounds. We believe in finding the perfect fit for our team rather
than just checking off a list of requirements. If you believe this role and
our mission strongly align with your career trajectory, we kindly invite you
to apply, even if you don't meet all the nice-to-have qualifications. We look
forward to getting to know you and exploring the possibilities together!
