Hunter&Talent has partnered exclusively with a global quantitative trading
firm that is seeking a Software Engineer from an extensive hands-on Python
programming background.
**The role
** As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the Data Engineering team that
is responsible for building robust data pipelines that ingest over 30TB of
data each day!
** _Key Responsibilities
_**
* Work closely with business partners across to understand their data needs
* Work with engineers, researchers, and portfolio managers across the organization to onboard interesting new datasets
* Build stable, productional data pipelines to support the firms trading activities
* Extend and improve data onboarding framework as required
** _Qualifications
_**
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or similar technical field
* Minimum of 3 years’ full-time work experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
* Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on Python programming experience
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in building ETL pipelines
* In-Depth experience developing data workflows and a good operational understanding of data operations, including processing, storage, quality, and management
