**Role Description:**
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Software Engineer to
play a crucial role in the development of our cloud-based data management
platform. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our systems are scalable,
secure, and capable of handling large volumes of data. The ideal candidate
will have a strong background in API development, cloud infrastructure
management, and experience working with advanced data processing technologies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* API Development:
* Design and implement robust APIs using Python or similar languages, ensuring seamless communication between applications and cloud services.
* Cloud Infrastructure Management:
* Develop and manage cloud infrastructure and services, primarily on AWS, with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
* Utilize Kubernetes and other application management solutions to enhance deployment processes and manage service scalability.
* Data Processing:
* Incorporate Apache Spark and data warehousing solutions for large-scale data processing, improving our ability to handle and analyze big data efficiently.
* Collaboration and Integration:
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud-based solutions with existing systems and workflows.
* Technical Leadership:
* Lead the design, documentation, development, and maintenance of cloud-based systems and processes.
* Review and implement processes to accelerate team velocity while maintaining high quality across the codebase.
* Continuous Learning:
* Stay updated on cloud service provider offerings, cloud security principles, and best practices in cloud architecture.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
**Qualifications:**
* Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with proven experience in API development using Python or similar programming languages.
* Strong understanding of cloud service providers, particularly AWS, and hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure and services.
* Familiarity with Kubernetes and Apache Spark is highly desirable.
* Experience working with DICOM images and an understanding of healthcare industry standards and regulations is a plus.
* Skills:
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience leading projects and working with multiple engineers.
