** **Job Description****
The candidate will lead a team of highly technical employees that develop
state-of-the-art solutions and provide critical support to defense and
intelligence programs. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and
guidance to the employees, interact with customers to ensure priorities are
properly aligned, and ensure flawless execution of the AI and Analytics
portfolio of contracts. The candidate should be able to communicate complex
technical concepts with ease to a variety of audiences, and will frequently
present to senior government officials and company executives. The candidate
should have a proven track record of expanding capabilities into new
markets/customers and will be responsible for the growth of his/her portfolio.
The candidate will work with HII's Chief Technical Officer (CTO) team to guide
innovation and create new, innovative IR&D; programs that position the
organization for future opportunities while helping to leverage ongoing IR&D;
projects to win new contracts.
** **Minimum Qualifications****
10 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; or 8
years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field.
** **Preferred Requirements****
* Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, etc.). An advanced degree is preferred.
* Ability to attain a Top Secret clearance. SCI is preferred.
* A minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with a demonstrated progression of responsibilities.
* A minimum of 10 years of experience supporting DoD contracts. Experience with commercial or non-governmental organizations is preferred.
* A minimum of 6 years of management/leadership experience in a programmatic or organizational capacity.
* Strong experience and understanding of Amazon Web Services. Experience with other cloud platforms is preferred.
* Expertise in data science and artificial intelligence tools, solutions, and markets. Understanding of industry capabilities in these areas is preferred.
* Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS
