##### Job Description :
The Python Developer will be required to independently design, develop and
implement software solutions using agile methodologies.
The Python Developer utilises a combination of programming and analytical
skills to formulate and define system scope and objectives and in turn design
and develop software components for the Ultra Laboratory Information System
(LIS).
The Python Developer works closely with a Development Lead, Business Analysts
and Test Engineers in developing the product direction. The Python Developer
will be expected to address problems reported by clients (internal or
external) on defects identified within the software. You will be expected to
work under time pressure and may also be part of the 24-hour rotation system
at certain times with a Project / Deployment or Installation.
##### **Key Responsibilities**
* Software development and scripting using agile methodologies
* Address problems reported by clients (internal/external) on software defects
* Work with the software development team to ensure delivery of high quality software within defined timelines and budget
* Adhering to IT Frameworks (e.g. SDLC) and IT governance protocols in relation to coding changes, security requirements and deployments
* Working across all regional boundaries with external technical groups and peers to ensure product quality, stability and a determination to professionally manage and resolve potentially complex issues on a variety of different platforms and applications.
* Provide Software Upgrades. This may include Patching and Hot Fix deployment including fault finding, testing and rollbacks.

* Experience in Web development
* Experience in Python, Javscript, Shell scripting
* Experience in Unix/Linux
* Experience in Postgresql/Oracle/SQL databases
* Analytical thinking and problem-solving, fault finding and debugging
* Strong communication and decision making skills
* Time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
* An advanced understanding of most General IT technologies such as Windows Operating systems, Workstation and Printer Hardware’s etc
* Familiarity with software development and engineering processes
* Understanding of Electronic Interface of HL7 Formats and standards such as AS4700.2 is desirable but not essential
