**Company Overview:**
Good Food Day (GFD) is a Gluten-Free Product Finder that helps people with
Celiac Disease or other gluten related medical conditions find and shop for
safe foods with ease.
~6% of the U.S. population is affected by Celiac Disease, a severe autoimmune
disorder, or other gluten-related conditions. Treatment solely involves strict
gluten avoidance, including cross-contamination, which is extremely time
consuming and anxiety inducing.
GFD is on a mission to help millions of individuals with gluten related
medical conditions enjoy a good food day, everyday, for happier, healthier

We’re looking for a CTO to join us as Co-Founder on this adventure, and
together, build the tools to make gluten-free living simpler, safer, and
stress-free!
**Position Summary:**
As a Co-Founder and CTO, you will play a critical role in shaping the future
of GFD. This position requires a visionary tech leader who can drive the
company's product strategy and build a robust and scalable tech
infrastructure. You will lead the engineering team, overseeing all aspects of
technical development, product management, and market delivery. This is an
opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a rapidly growing niche market.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Leadership and Strategy:**
* Drive the company’s product strategy and roadmap
* Set an ambitious and clear technological vision to match the product roadmap
* Lead the planning and implementation of all systems
* Make high-level design choices and enforce technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms
**Product Development:**
* Develop and oversee the full software stack, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure applications
* Integrate customer feedback into product enhancements and new initiatives
* Ensure the integrity and accuracy of app integrations, web scraping, and data handling processes
* Manage the usage of commercial and specialized nutrition databases effectively
* Leverage new technologies (e.g. machine learning) into product development
**Team Management:**
* Recruit, hire, and manage an engineering team capable of achieving company goals
* Cultivate a dynamic team culture that attracts top talent and encourages professional growth
* Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment with customer needs and company objectives
**Skills and Qualifications:**
* Proven experience as a CTO or relevant role within a startup environment. Bonus points if you have experience within health-tech, e-commerce, or data management sectors
* Extensive experience in full-stack engineering, including both front-end and back-end development
* Strong background in extension development, app development, web development, web technologies, identity management, and cloud technologies
* Expertise in web scraping, data handling, and integrations with various data sources including retail and e-commerce platforms
* Familiarity with retail data structures (SKUs, UPCs, ASINs, GTINs, WINs)
* Experience with identifying creative sources of data, data structure integration and database management.
* Experience with commercial data sources (e.g. NielsenIQ, IRI, Syndigo) and specialized nutritional databases (e.g. ESHA, NutritionIX) is preferred but not required
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to manage and inspire a team
