**Location Details:**

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work
in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely
some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You
may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or
offsites.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North
Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

The Legal Department, comprised of Law, Compliance, Corporate Audit Services
(Internal Audit), Corporate Sustainability/ESG, and Government & Industry
Affairs, joins forces across the enterprise to navigate evolving challenges
and support GoDaddy’s mission and strategic priorities while continuously
innovating, prudently managing risk, and maintaining GoDaddy’s dedication to

**What you’ll get to do…**

* Act as a primary lawyer on certain cross-business unit projects, coordinating with other subject matter experts within and outside the Department as needed
* Advise on legal and regulatory risks of business decisions and central initiatives, and help craft pragmatic solutions that mitigate risk and support growth, often in partnership with other teams across the company
* Work closely with GoDaddy’s Legal Department and GoDaddy’s compliance group to maintain a current understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape, including the support and maintenance of legal and regulatory obligations as these apply to the business
* Advise on legal and regulatory elements of the design, build, and execution of products and services
* Develop a strategy for engaging, and navigating communications with, external collaborators, such as customers, partners, and regulators
* Advise on and draft and negotiate contracts relating to a broad spectrum of commercial transactions, including partnership agreements, marketing agreements, and others
* Work closely with business partners and the compliance group to identify, track, and remediate compliance issues
* Provide training to Legal Department, senior management, and relevant staff, as appropriate
* Instruct and manage external counsel within agreed policies and budget

Please note that roles within GoDaddy may evolve with the needs of the
business and the legal and regulatory landscape.

**Your experience should include…**

* 8+ years of experience as commercial counsel, product counsel, or corporate transaction counsel.
* J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic qualifications
* Active license to practice law in any of the 50 states.
* Effectively leads through ambiguity and drives outcomes
* Anticipates needs and proactively and creatively solves problems and resolves potential areas of conflict
* Identifies trends and proposes scalable solutions and processes to support accelerated growth
* Rolls up sleeves and dives into problems and projects, but also pulls back the lens and thinks strategically
* Joins forces across the enterprise, but is not afraid to challenge others in a diplomatic manner
* Influences, often without formal decision-making authority, large cross-functional teams with varying priorities, subject matter expertise, and levels of experience
* Strives for continuous improvement using problem-solving skills
* Has outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including confidence in advising executives, and the ability to read audiences and adjust messaging accordingly
* Cultivates a culture of inclusion and trust
