**About the role**
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who's passionate about building
products that transform how knowledge work gets done. As a key member of our
engineering team, you'll have end-to-end ownership of features that directly
impact thousands of lawyers' daily work. You’ll work directly with the
founding team on building the future of legal work.

legal work feel simple and intuitive. Your code won't just ship features - it
will fundamentally change how legal teams operate, making their work faster,
smarter, and more impactful.
**Responsibilities**
* Design and implement full-stack features that blend elegant UX with robust backend systems
* Architect scalable solutions across our entire tech stack (React, TypeScript, Node.js)
* Shape our technical direction, making crucial decisions about architecture and infrastructure
* Build and optimize cloud-native systems using GCP
* Mentor and uplift other engineers through thoughtful code reviews and knowledge sharing
* Drive innovation in both our codebase and the legal tech industry as a whole
**Required Experience:**
* 5+ years of experience building production-grade web applications
* Strong expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript
* Deep understanding of React and frontend architecture
* Experience with cloud platforms (GCP)
* Track record of designing scalable backend systems
* History of making architectural decisions that stood the test of time
**Nice to Have:**
* Experience with modern ORMs (Drizzle/Prisma) and API design
* Knowledge of DevOps practices
* Background in building secure, compliant systems
* Familiarity with AI/LLM integrations
* Experience mentoring other engineers
* Understanding of legal tech or B2B SaaS

**Compensation**
We anticipate the salary band for this role will be between $150,000 and
$230,000, in addition to equity and benefits depending on the level. This role
may be hired at the Senior level ($150,000 to $190,000) or the Staff level
($180,000 to $230,000). The salary at offer will be determined by factors such
as the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as
internal equity among our team.
