We are seeking an innovative and experienced front-end web developer with a
strong grasp of SCSS and theme implementation to join our dynamic team on an
hourly basis. You will closely collaborate with UX design and product teams to
develop and implement custom themes for our front-end, enabling switchable
themes for various challenges. You will also have the exciting opportunity to
collaborate with nationally renowned organizations to refine and deliver our
STEM education platform. This is a remote position, but only US-based
candidates will be considered.
Technical Stack:
* Front-end layout with ASP.NET Razor pages, JS\JQuery for client-side operations, and extensive use of SCSS featuring centralized variables and mixins for styling flexibility and custom theme implementation.
* Back-end is developed with C#, ASP.NET and MS SQL Server.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing custom themes for our front-end using SCSS, enabling switchable themes for challenges as needed.
* Working with the UX design team and product team to scope and develop new platform features and custom themes.
* Collaborating with the product team to streamline operational workflows.
* Interfacing with organizations such as NASA to refine and deliver innovative science education challenges.
* Contributing to our mission of making science education accessible, exciting, and profoundly impactful.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong experience in front-end development, specifically with SCSS, custom theme implementation, and switchable themes.
* Experience in JS\JQuery, C#, and ASP.NET Razor pages a plus.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent teamwork and proficiency in collaborating effectively with remote teams.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Passion for STEM education and a commitment to fostering future professionals in these fields.
