We are in search of an experienced CAD specialist, back-end engineer with
experience with low-level CAD kernel integration. This role is crucial in
developing high-quality functionality for our cutting-edge simulation and
modeling tools. The ideal candidate is mission aligned and excited by the
blank-canvas opportunity to architect, implement, and deploy high-quality,
scalable code in a fast-paced, iterative environment. As a member of our
founding engineering team, they will have outsized influence on the company
and technical ownership.

### Responsibilities
* Lead the integration of low-level CAD kernels into our simulation and modeling tools, ensuring seamless and efficient functionality
* Work with B-Rep (Boundary Representation) and direct modeling techniques to process and manipulate CAD data efficiently
* Collaborate with the front-end engineering team to create web APIs using REST and/or WebSocket to expose CAD functionality from a C++ CAD kernel to handle the representation of Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) within our software solutions
* Take ownership of the CAD integration component, ensuring it meets performance and quality standards
* Tackle complex engineering challenges and conduct performance tests related to CAD integration, topology, and low-level kernel operations to optimize performance
* Own the technology, document work, and the set technical tone for the company: define, develop, and deploy
### Qualifications
* 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with CAD kernel integration and low-level operations
* Proficiency in working with CAD kernels such as SMLib, Parasolid, or similar, CAD data structures, and the ability to navigate through CAD topology. Knowledge of B-Rep, direct modeling, and CAD data manipulation
* Strong programming skills in C and C++. Familiarity with other languages is a plus
* Familiarity with REST and WebSocket APIs for integrating CAD data with web-based applications
* Passionate about our company's mission and excited by the opportunity to shape the future of simulation and modeling technology
* Demonstrated ability to architect and implement complex back-end solutions and take technical ownership
* Strong communication skills and ability to effectively articulate technical concepts, trade-offs and decisions
* Willingness to travel to colocate for in-person work weeks with our small, mighty team
