## **About the role**
As an engineer at TeamUp, you'll have the opportunity to positively impact
users with your expertise in the backend systems that drive our ecosystem

## **What you'll do**
* Architect and build TeamUp’s scalable and reliable product as well as core backend components for complex systems, focusing on performance, scalability, flexibility, and security
* Take ownership for designing, building, and maintaining our REST APIs, data models, and business logic
* Work closely with our Product, QA, and frontend engineering teams to help shape the product roadmap and deliver well-thought-out and stable solutions to our customers' most important needs
* Ensure that the architecture matches industry-standard security policies (and vice-versa), helping to establish processes to drive operational excellence in critical areas such as systems reliability and SLA management
* Debug production issues across multiple services and levels of the stack
* Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
## **What we're seeking**
### Must have
* Prior experience with web application backends
* Have experience with Python, Django and SQL
* Open to joining a fast-paced environment
* 3+ years of working experience
Nice to have
* You have experience leading a team and mentoring team members
* BS or MS in computer science, engineering, or other technical degrees
* Experience working on both backend and frontend projects
