**The Role**
We're a remote globally distributed team on the lookout for a driven Machine
Learning Engineer with a knack for developing and scaling sophisticated
models. This opportunity is a rare blend, combining elements of data science,
systems engineering, and cloud architecture, centered around the lifecycle of
machine learning model development, training, and deployment.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Spearhead the development and enhancement of applied machine learning services and systems.
* Innovate and optimize Machine Learning models for document extraction and timeseries data segmentation.
* Utilize our extensive behavioral datasets to develop cutting-edge strategies and tools. Leverage Terraform and ML Ops platforms for model deployment and scaling across environments.
* Champion the end-to-end process from data exploration, pipeline creation, and insight generation to model deployment.
* Enhance and expand our platform, including data pipelines, APIs, and the development of new services.
* Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless delivery of projects.
* Take ownership of the content summarization engine, from requirements to development to deployment.
* Provide technical leadership, fostering ML best practices and cultivating a culture of innovation.
**Qualifications**
* Solid expertise in Python and the ML stack, with a strong grasp of PyTorch.
* A broad understanding of modern NLP and recommendation system methodologies.
* Proven track record in deep learning projects, whether professional, academic, or personal.
* Ability to interpret and apply insights from ML research publications.
* Commitment to developing reliable, production-grade models.
**Requirements**
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
* Proven experience in developing production-grade machine learning systems, with a focus on data mining, recommendations, optimization, and/or computer vision.
* Demonstrated capability to lead projects from inception to completion.
* Experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
* Proven track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
* Strong mathematical foundation, with a deep understanding of statistical methods.
**Nice to Have**
* Familiarity with event-driven architectures.
* Proficiency in containerization techniques, Kubernetes, and cloud services (GCP, AWS preferred).
* Experience with transformer models and distributed training methodologies.
