such as ticket sales, sponsorship, merchandise sales, recurring donations, and

**Role Description**
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Software Engineer. The Senior
Software Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with
back-end web development and software development. Some remote work is
acceptable, but the role is primarily located in Toronto, ON. The Senior
Software Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design,
develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions.
**Qualifications**
* PHP / Laravel (5+ years)
* Writing secure, efficient, scalable and clean code in PHP8
* Writing REST APIs using Laravel framework
* Unit testing using PHPUnit
* Ability to quickly trace, debug and fix code
* Experience with third party service integrations (CRMs, Payment Processors, AWS, etc.)
* Working with databases (MySQL, DocumentDB, Redis)
* Understanding and writing fast and efficient queries, database schemas to support business requirements
* HTML / CSS
* Working with source control using Git / GitHub
* Working in a fast-moving startup environment with shifting priorities
* Basic knowledge of Single Page Application (SPA) frameworks and their interactions with backend
