**Role Overview:**
We are seeking a talented and experienced Database Architect/Engineer to join
our growing team. As a Database Engineer at CoverRight, you will play a
pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data architecture
and infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (sales,
product, and marketing) to ensure that our data solutions align with business
objectives and support informed decision-making. This role reports to the Head
of Product and Engineering at CoverRight.
**Responsibilities:**
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable data architecture and infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
* Develop and optimize data pipelines using tools such as PostGres, BigQuery, DBT, and Dabster.
* Implement and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business outcomes.
* Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata to ensure data integrity and consistency.
* Create and maintain documentation for data architecture, processes, and best practices.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
* Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data architecture, engineering, and analytics.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* 4+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, and analytics.
* Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
* Experience working with relational databases such as PostGres.
* Strong programming skills in Python for data processing and automation.
* Hands-on experience with GCP services, especially BigQuery.
* Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
* Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, preferably Looker.
* Knowledge of data analysis techniques and statistical methods.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
**Nice to Have:**
* Experience with other data orchestration tools such as Airflow or Luigi.
* Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics.
* Certification in GCP or related technologies.
