powered, fan-first experiences — starting in video games. You might be
familiar with our first product — the viral Backseat AI, an in-game buddy for
League of Legends featuring digital twins of your favorite streamers like
Tyler1.

**❓About the Role**

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer that will lead the Design team and
help shape the future of Backseat AI, as well as all the other creator-led AI
companion experiences we’re cooking up in the lab.

The ideal candidate has built exceptional fan-facing digital products at top
gaming + consumer tech companies. As the first senior design hire, you’re
comfortable wearing many hats: from prototyping and user research to
experimental initiatives and design systems. You’ll also mentor and grow a
team of juniors.

As a small team with ambitions to supercharge the creator space, we’re not
afraid to admit we’re still figuring things out — but we’re hungry and want to
win. We’re looking for teammates who thrive with freedom and responsibility,
wear different hats comfortably, and are always fan-first and creator-first.

**⭐ What You’ll Do**

* **Design Leadership:** Lead creation of user interactions, design systems, UX flow wireframes, and interface designs for our products to ensure a consistently magical user experience.
* **Research:** Conduct and oversee user research initiatives to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points, as well as translating these findings into actionable insights for product design and strategy.
* **Theorycraft:** Brainstorm ideas + narratives and develop prototypes to help find creative solutions to our products’ unique contexts involving frontier technologies, games and ever-evolving creator fandoms.
* **Team Glue:** Collaborate closely across stakeholders to integrate user-centered design seamlessly into the development process and the organization as a whole. Mentor: Guide and inspire junior members of the Design team.

**⚙️ Need to Have**

* **Sage:** 5+ years of experience in consumer UX/product/game design, with at least 2 in a leadership role.
* **Hobbyist:** An avid gamer and active fan of the creator space (bonus if you know what “skibidi toilet” is).
* **Proof of Work:** Portfolio of work showcasing examples that demonstrate your expertise in interaction design and user research for games and consumer-facing products.
* **Tools of the Trade:** Proficiency in visual design + user research methodology, as well as the tools needed (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Miro, etc.).
* **Gift of Gab:** Strong communication skills with cross functional teammates, with the ability to present insights in a clear, compelling, and actionable manner.
* **Entrepreneurial Energy:** Thinks about business outcomes just as much as product building.
* **People Skills:** Thrives in a fast-paced hybrid environment (3 days in-office per week in LA or Manila), while being adaptable to dynamic situations, individuals, and problems.

**➕ Plus Points**

* **Game Familiarity:** Knowledge of today’s top games, particularly League of Legends, VALORANT, Counter-Strike 2, Genshin Impact, Mobile Legends, and/or Minecraft.
* **Creator, Too:** Dabbled into creating content — whether that’s vlogs, shorts, articles or streams.
* **Growth Wizard:** Work history in growth + gamification for mass-market products like e-commerce apps, social networks, and online games.
* **Figuring it Out:** Desire to work in an early-stage, fast-paced environment with significant ambiguity.
* **Time-Flexible:** Ability to work during a daily overlap of a few hours with the rest of the team (Singapore Time and Pacific Time). Occasionally able to travel across offices (Los Angeles ←→ Manila).
* **Master of Tongues:** Can speak languages outside of English, particularly Mandarin, Spanish, Tagalog, French and/or Korean.
