As a software engineer specializing in backend, cloud technologies and API
infrastructure, you will serve on a small
independent, Agile DevOps product team capable of building client
applications, an extensive cloud
backend/services tier, and the pipelines to enable CI/CD. You will be
responsible for building and maintaining APIs
and other cloud native code and services. You will provide technical
leadership and guidance to internal and
external partner developers to co-develop and operate your technical product,
guiding and shaping strong software
engineering disciplines, design patterns, and automated testing. You will work
closely with client application
developers and other business teams consuming the data exposed by your
services to provide the best user
experience possible.

##### **Responsibilities** :
* Design and develop software solutions in a cloud environment
* Identify and propose emerging software engineering technologies, methodologies and/or approaches
* Onboard and manage the work of third-party developers, delegating technical assignments & assessing
##### **engineering performance:**
* Champion the adoption of and contribution towards Chick-fil-A software engineering standards and platform
##### **engineering:**
* Assist junior engineers as necessary, reviewing code and sharing user stories
* Provide operational support as needed, particularly for products directly affecting Restaurant day-to-day
##### **operations:**
* Influence peer engineers across sub-departments (e.g., build, showcase, steward reusable code solutions for
common problems), join and actively contribute to engineering guild
##### **Minimum Qualifications:**
* Broad and deep programming experience in Python, Go, Java or other comparable languages
* Experience working with an on-demand cloud computing platform like AWS or GCP
* Experience with source control systems like Git or Subversion
* Experience implementing application security, software design patterns, and the SDLC
* Empathy for the daily challenges faced by Chick-fil-A restaurant team members and a passion for improving their job experience
* Good interpersonal and team collaboration skills
* Independent learner who is growth-minded
* Passionate about balancing innovation and supportability

* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
* Experience working with agile development methodology featuring sprints, points estimation, and daily standups
* Experience deploying containerized and/or serverless applications to the cloud; specific experience with AWS desirable
* Experience developing and delivering microservices
* Solid understanding of AWS architecture - Experience with CI/CD pipelines
* Experience with native mobile application delivery
