**Job Title: Software Engineering Intern (Part-Time)**

Camphor, backed by Pear VC, is revolutionizing the way residential real estate
data is organized and delivered to brokerages, agents, and buyers. Addressing
a significant $2.5 billion industry problem, we provide comprehensive property
information integrating zoning, appraisals, and standard sources with
alternative data to derive valuable insights for property value appreciation
and modeling. Our platform offers a datalake for residential property listings
and alternative data and analytics, and we currently expose an API and AI
search tool for our customers to work with.
**Role Overview:**
Camphor is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineering Intern to
contribute to our innovative solutions for residential real estate brokerages,
agents, and other solution providers in the ecosystem. As an intern, you will
collaborate with our team to write state-of-the-art code, delivering
exceptional value to our customers. In addition to your role as a software
engineer, you will have the opportunity to engage in product, design, and
other functions - we all wear multiple hats. After all, you’ll be joining a
startup at the earliest stages!
**Responsibilities:**
* Write high-quality, efficient code to deliver innovative solutions to our clientele, including real estate brokerages, agents, and solution providers.
* Be versatile and adaptable, taking on different roles as needed within a startup environment.
* Collaborate with the team to enhance our product offerings, ensuring seamless user experiences and optimal functionality.
* Develop a deep understanding of our tech stack and actively contribute to ongoing projects.
**Qualifications:**
* Currently a junior or senior in college pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field (seniors preferred, with potential for full-time conversion post-graduation).
* Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment.
* Strong independent work ethic, self-motivation, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Prior internship experience in technology, preferably in a high-growth startup (Series A+) or at a major tech company like Google or Meta.
* Familiarity with relevant technologies, including:
* Frontend: React/Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript
* Backend: Python, AWS, Go
* Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL/relational databases, LLMs (GPT3.5 or Llama2), and web scraping tools
**Salary Compensation:**
* Compensation: $40 per hour
* Work Hours: 15-20 hours per week
