**Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Python & Database Developer with
experience in automating data workflows. The candidate will be responsible for
building and managing databases on Firebase or Google Cloud, and integrating
machine learning models like OpenAI's GPT API or other open-source
alternatives. The role focuses on automating our existing manual process which
involves web scraping, data manipulation, and API integrations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Design and build scalable databases on Firebase or Google Cloud Platform.
* Develop Python scripts to automate the scraping of web data and populate it into Google Sheets.
* Integrate machine learning models, such as OpenAI's GPT API, to modify data.
* Implement API endpoints to facilitate the flow of data to and from Google Sheets or other third-party APIs.
* Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless data integration.
* Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
* Debug issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
* Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
* Document system design and changes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* -3+ years of backend development experience, specifically with Python.
* Demonstrated Proficiency with Firebase or Google Cloud Platform.
* Strong experience in working with RESTful APIs.
* Familiarity with web scraping libraries like Beautiful Soup, Selenium, or Scrapy.
* Experience with Google Sheets API.
* Knowledge of machine learning and experience integrating into Python/databases
