**Branch 's Finance and Accounting Team**
Our Finance and Accounting team works as the backbone of financial management
and reporting for the entire Branch Organization. We bring best practices in
automation into a traditionally task-focused area to unleash talented
professionals to spend more of their time on value-add investigations and less
of their time on repetitive work. We're responsible for everything from
treasury management and statutory accounting to financial planning and
strategic initiatives. We provide best-in-class financial information into

**About the Manager, Billing Operations role**
Branch Financial acting as the Attorney in Fact, sets and executes product
strategy across nearly all US states. Branch’s reputation and ability to
deliver flawlessly for our members is dependent on our ability to execute each
day on our strategy. That means, we’re looking for an enthusiastic, get-it-
done, team-driven Manager, Billing Operations to help us be the best we can be
for our members.
**The Manager, Billing Operations is someone who:**
-Has interest in owning the development of the integration road map of external partners across all Branch disciplines
-Works well across all personal line’s insurance disciplines with internal and external parties
-Has in-depth knowledge of billing, product, underwriting, and pricing and state regulatory environment
-Has experience in working on insurance product implementations from setting strategy to execution of product, policy issuance, billing, underwriting and member services
-Enjoys finding technology solutions that can deliver consistently on new and existing product strategies
-Has strong project management/juggling skills and can communicate effectively the top priorities by understanding the consequences of execution
-Enjoys managing projects and people through empathy and influence
The role will be primarily focused on the execution of all Billing strategies
working closely with Product Managers and technology. But since Branch is
still in the startup phase, the person who fills this role will wear many hats
and will need to roll up their sleeves and be able to be strategic while
performing hands-on tasks at the same time. Ultimately, this is an opportunity
to play a huge role in the booming Insurtech industry, helping grow a
business.
Branch is native-remote, meaning that we attempt to hire employees in “hubs”
so that employees can have the benefit of community and the flexibility of a
remote-first work environment. Columbus, OH and Chicago, IL are the hubs for
the Finance, Accounting, and Reporting teams, but we are open to candidates in
other locations.
**Key Responsibilities**
-Responsible for the operational execution of all Billing owned strategies
-Responsible for owning setting strategy and execution of all billing related activities (i.e., down payment by segment, renewal billing, cancellation and non-renewal strategy and execution by state, processing holds when required by DOI’s)
-Take ownership for managing all the aspects of the Billing execution while identifying ways to mechanize repeatable processes or utilize external partners
-Resident expert on Billing and Product Operations and ensure flawless execution for members every time
-Work directly with Member Services to develop repeatable processes and to understand where execution holes exist
-Work with Product Managers to understand new or changing strategies and develop ways to deliver on those business objectives
-Work closely with Compliance leadership
-Be responsible for establishing and measuring implementation success metrics to ensure accomplishing business objectives
**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**
-You have 5-10 years of P&C industry experience (personal lines preferred)
-Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field
-Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
-You are familiar with the pricing, contract and underwriting regulatory requirements for personal lines
-You have experience and expertise in the regulatory standards around processing policies including billing, cancellation, reinstatement and notification requirements
-You can develop processes to support business strategies that are compliant with regulatory requirements
-You can bridge the gaps and work effectively between product, technology and compliance
-You function well in ambiguity and with minimal direction or supervision provided
-You have a proven track record of developing and executing on implementations, working effectively across disciplines
-You have excellent written and oral communication skills

**Pay Philosophy:**
Every Brancher in the same role gets paid the same base salary and has the
same total compensation potential. Branch salaries are paid at the 75th
percentile of the Midwest, meaning that 75 out of 100 times, Branch will pay
more than an offer from another company. Branch uses variable compensation to
incentivize and reward individual performance through either monthly
commissions or semi-annual bonuses.
