BoostUp.ai is the first Intelligent Revenue Management Platform built for the
digital-selling and remote sales era. BoostUp solves the oldest problem in
sales: the black box problem. The black box of Sales forecasting, pipelines,
activity, and deals. Sales today operates on biased self-reported information
and leaders are forced to use guess-work to make decisions causing forecasting
slippage, lower win rates, inconsistent quota attainment, poor capacity
allocation and inefficient pipeline management.
##### **Key responsibilities:**
* Responsible for Boostup.ai site-up.
* Responsible for managing all IT systems including production infrastructure.
* Responsible for setting up all monitoring systems - datadog, pagerduty etc.
* Manage the current DevOps team.
* Build a new Tier 1 on-call SRE team - who will be responsible for handling infrastructure and application on-call escalations. Tier-1 team will escalate to Tier 2 (dev team) as needed.
##### **Key requirements:**
* Past experience leading or being a key member of the SRE team for a SaaS product with significant traffic / data volume.
* Experience with hiring / building SRE teams.
* Experience with managing the modern infrastructure stack - AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark, Microservices, Datadog, Pagerduty, MongoDB, Flask
* Experience with scaling a SaaS data platform on multiple dimensions - database, API, data pipeline.
##### **Role:**
* Lead all our digital properties, strategy and build out appropriate SRE tooling
* Build a team of SRE engineers to support 24/7 follow the sun model, from the ground up. Be the hands-on technical leader while teams are getting setup / established.
* Attract, develop, retain, and mentor talent.
* Own the technology roadmap for the systems and responsible for delivering successful projects for these systems. Ensure successful execution of product roadmap.
* Responsible for portfolio and resource planning for your areas and planning and managing budget for your teams and projects.
* Partner and Collaborate with various cross functional teams like product management, process, project and program management, infrastructure, operations and business teams etc.
* Champion all non-functional requirements of technical components like high availability, scalability and fault tolerance etc.
* Work with other technical teams to ensure technical strategies, architecture guidelines and standards are realized by efficient collaboration with architecture, development, DevOps and other teams.
* Plan and lead technology evaluation for various critical areas working closely with cross functional teams.
* Own and manage the stability, availability and performance for BoostUp applications/systems.
##### **Required Skills:**
* Linux
* Python
* Docker, (Kubernetes highly desired, but not required)
* AWS
* Expertise in infrastructure as code software tools, one of Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Cloud formation, Terraform
* Experience with managing and operating clustered MongoDB
* Experience with operating data queue technologies (such as RabbitMQ, Celery, Kafka)

* Extensive experience building SRE operations and monitoring toolset leveraging latest cloud technologies.
